The curved screen might seem like an unnecessary novelty, but research shows that Samsung and LG knows what they are doing. Neurologists from Canada measured the brain activity of participants as they watched curved and straight lines of some objects.
They found out that people find more beautiful curved than straight lines, and the leader of the research Osin Vartanijan from the University of Toronto, says that the respondents considered them “softer” and less hazardous than sharp angles.
The same result was confirmed with the discoveries made by the scientists from Harvard. When it comes to devices, Samsung and LG already have curved screen devices that are apparently more agreeable to the human eye.
Both companies also presented TVs with curved screen, which are said to make the picture clearer and make people more concentrated on the program they are watching.
