BlackBerry, the Canadian company that is struggling to survive in recent years is being abandoned by many network operators which are seamlessly trying switch to the more profitable mobile platform. One such operator who turned the BlackBerry back in, and shifted all focus on other platforms is the British Three UK. In an interview for TrustedReviews, Portfolio Manager of the operator Brendan Arnd said that the company decided to switch to Windows Phone because it is a much better and profitable alternative than the BlackBerry platform. “Windows Phone market is good for us. We decided that Windows Phone becomes a third ecosystem and BlackBerry platform and smartphones are slowly dying”, he said. The US network operator T-Mobile is one of the top world’s operators which decided to remove the BlackBerry from its offer without offering any explanation. Operators usually listen to their customers when it comes to putting new devices to the offer, and based on this, we think that Windows Phone could eat BlackBerry’s share of the market in the coming years.
